Since Eight years the musical duo Silke Gonska (singing) and Frieder W. Bergner (compositions, trombone, tuba, electron. instruments) exist.

During the years of co-operation so far 3 CDs and 4 tour programs originated twosome. In addition many projects, which the two soloists do together with their Contemporary jazz band, with the Big band Fresh Lemons, also with ensemble Creativ even with Sinfonic orchestra and Band. And naturally many, many concerts abroad Germany and European.

“Messages“

In the focus of the concert program of the same name opinioned Coverversionen of jazz titles as „My Funny Valentine“, „and of Popsongs as Bob Marley´s „Redemption Song“, John Lennon´s „Imagine“, Bob Dylan´s „A hard Rain´s Gonna fall“, Lennon/McCartneys „Blackbird“and many more.

Frieder W. Bergner says to the concept: „Our request is, these wonderful musical miniatures, which became already the part of the music history of the 20th Century to decode their messages in text and tone for a todays public to get more transparency again."

Naturally Bergner tells small stories to some of the pieces, like already in the preceding concert programs. How they developed, why these titles in its new interpretation straight do not have to sound so and differently, which even hides itself behind the composition or the text.
